Sea Explorers has been organizing scuba diving holidays in the Philippines since 1989. They have dive centers in some of the country’s most popular diving destinations — Dauin, Malapascua Island, Alona Beach and Cabilao Island. In 2019, we worked closely with Sea Explorers’ marketing team to redesign their website and rethink their digital strategy.
The old Sea Explorers website was a legacy website loaded with 30 years of accomplishments, and volumes of content that had been added, bit by it, as the company grew. We did a website audit and observed that users were forced to dig around a little too much to find what they needed.
Before we could lay down plans to rebuild, we needed to do some ‘content spring cleaning.’ We organized information, consolidated pages into an intuitive sitemap, and shone light on previously buried content. We put together a basic style guide that included guidance on logo usage, color palette, and typography system. The new site has a fresher look and feel, integrates tightly with the Sea Explorers’ CRM and booking system, and offers multiple avenues for the company to engage users and acquire new ones.
